Managed to pass 640 (Microsoft Server 2008 AD) as well as 622 (Enterprise Vista Support), happy about those :) Also had the time to finish up CCNA2, which is good :) CCNA3 is under works and currently readon for the Microsoft 642 (Server 2008 Networking) book, should get that done during spring.

I finally managed to get some money together to buy two Thermalright V2 vga coolers for my Sapphire 4850x2. As some of you might know from experience or from reading forums you've definitely heard that this card is the loudest you can find on the market. The cooling design does suck and is inadequate for the card, at least that's what I believe is the reason for it being so loud.
As a student i didn't really have that much spare money so after some saving up i got two of the VGA coolers I believed would be the best for the card and would actually fit next to each other. I've seen two different versions on how to customize cooling for this card as there are no readymade aftermarket coolers for this card.

If you have ever wondered how to add share links to your own website there are a couple of ways to do this. Either you can do it the hard way and add each and every site you want seperately (which ofcourse means that you have a greater control on what services can be linked to your site) or by using Add This. Personally I would recommend using Add This which is pretty much the universal buttom that you can use to give your visitors the chance to share your page with just the service they use. It's quick and painless :)

Crystaldisk is perhaps one of the best free HDD S.M.A.R.T programs i've found sofar. This program is able to get S.M.A.R.T information from harddrives under Windows Vista without having to make any special adjustments or gimmics (this is a problem with Windows Vista & nForce chipset). In addition this program can get the information from RAID arrays (tested with raid 0) without any problem. If you are looking to monitor your harddrives (which you should to predict possible hardware failiures) this is a program is really worth a check. Today i've passed my first certification exam (72-620, TS: Configuring Microsoft Windows Vista Client) on my first try at the exam!! I'm quite happy about this as it's a good start and hopefully many other certificates will follow this one. This certificate grants me the MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) title which in the end doesn't really make a better person ;) Anyway next one up is most likely 72-622 certification exam to get the MCITP.

Finally i'm back home from helsinki, was a good two day trip but it's exhausing! The microsoft TechDays maily covered topics of different virtualizaiton techniques, windows 7 and windows server 2008 R2. There definately were some interesting tracks on the virtualization side although there wasn't really any new groundbreaking information. APP-V which is delivered as a part of MDOP (Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack) still sounds extremely promising and i'm looking forward to actually implement it into a real network and see how servers handle with the load from more than 2 test clients.
As you can notice from the MDOP team blog that they are currently beta testing APP-V 4.5 CU1 which has windows 7 support. If you don't know what APP-V is then just google it and read.

Now that I finally got myself to write code for the portal i'm astonished how little work it has required to get this far... Only on the second day working on it and i already got working news system, some required functions. Although i'm writing this peice of news in HeidiSQL it's still good =] Hopefully I will get this all finished quite quickly so i can actually use it for something usefull. The site hasn't really been used for anything for the past 6 months so it's about time ;)
Now for some of the stuff i need to do from now on:
- Create admin panel
- Fix pixel errors / CSS File accordingly
- Make changes to make the site more appealing and not so black/white
