New papers ![]() 2010-01-14 08:25:13 by: Zimeon Managed to pass 640 (Microsoft Server 2008 AD) as well as 622 (Enterprise Vista Support), happy about those :) Also had the time to finish up CCNA2, which is good :) CCNA3 is under works and currently readon for the Microsoft 642 (Server 2008 Networking) book, should get that done during spring. Cooling down a Ati Radeon 4850x2![]() 2009-06-03 20:52:55 by: Zimeon I finally managed to get some money together to buy two Thermalright V2 vga coolers for my Sapphire 4850x2. As some of you might know from experience or from reading forums you've definitely heard that this card is the loudest you can find on the market. The cooling design does suck and is inadequate for the card, at least that's what I believe is the reason for it being so loud. ![]() 2009-04-06 18:00:57 by: Zimeon If you have ever wondered how to add share links to your own website there are a couple of ways to do this. Either you can do it the hard way and add each and every site you want seperately (which ofcourse means that you have a greater control on what services can be linked to your site) or by using Add This. Personally I would recommend using Add This which is pretty much the universal buttom that you can use to give your visitors the chance to share your page with just the service they use. It's quick and painless :) ![]() 2009-04-06 17:47:15 by: Zimeon This is perhaps one of the worst Text adventures ever, found this link where some people have written some stuff they've experienced on omegle.com. ![]() 2009-03-13 15:09:13 by: Zimeon Crystaldisk is perhaps one of the best free HDD S.M.A.R.T programs i've found sofar. This program is able to get S.M.A.R.T information from harddrives under Windows Vista without having to make any special adjustments or gimmics (this is a problem with Windows Vista & nForce chipset). In addition this program can get the information from RAID arrays (tested with raid 0) without any problem. If you are looking to monitor your harddrives (which you should to predict possible hardware failiures) this is a program is really worth a check. You can find more information from the following site. Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist![]() 2009-03-13 14:40:36 by: Zimeon Today i've passed my first certification exam (72-620, TS: Configuring Microsoft Windows Vista Client) on my first try at the exam!! I'm quite happy about this as it's a good start and hopefully many other certificates will follow this one. This certificate grants me the MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) title which in the end doesn't really make a better person ;) Anyway next one up is most likely 72-622 certification exam to get the MCITP. ![]() 2009-03-08 19:01:20 by: Zimeon The null-byte "community" grows with Chris moving to our hosting with his own sub-domain. You can visit his site by going to http://chris.nullbyte.org, although you won't really see there anything atm =] I hope he will put the subdomain to good use so we can get this server to more good use! ![]() 2009-03-06 21:20:05 by: Zimeon Finally i'm back home from helsinki, was a good two day trip but it's exhausing! The microsoft TechDays maily covered topics of different virtualizaiton techniques, windows 7 and windows server 2008 R2. There definately were some interesting tracks on the virtualization side although there wasn't really any new groundbreaking information. APP-V which is delivered as a part of MDOP (Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack) still sounds extremely promising and i'm looking forward to actually implement it into a real network and see how servers handle with the load from more than 2 test clients. ![]() 2009-07-29 13:44:02 by: Zimeon A new domain has been ordered, null-byte.org. This domain will be used for e-mail and website as a concurrent domainname for emurre.com. More on this developing story ;) ![]() 2009-03-04 21:18:13 by: Zimeon Most of you have read about the ongoing case of the pirate bay, if you havn't. You really should.
